From Palm to Apple iPhone

Being a Palm Pilot fan for more than 10 years, start with Palm Pilot Professional, Palm III, Palm V, T3 and TX to the last Palm based Smartphone Palm Centro; finally, I drop Palm to move to Apple iPhone 3Gs.

With the discontinuation of Palm OS, it will become obsolete in the near future and replace with new Web OS, I did consider a Web OS based Smartphone Palm Pre, but finally I choose iPhone.

First, current Web OS not support Chinese, that the nightmare for me. How can a Smartphone product in current world situation do not plan to support Chinese? Even for the last 10 years in Palm OS, Palm is not officially support Chinese but just using a third party software CJKOS.

Compare to Apple iPhone, it officially support all international languages with UTF-8 Codec; even better, I would say perfect, a powerful Chinese Character Stroke Recognition in OS 3.0 with a reasonably good phrase recommendation.

Second, iPhone display address and telephone based on regional format. Palm display address only in US format which is not considering Palm will be selling worldwide.

Third, Palm Pre is not selling in Malaysia.

Fourth, Apple Store has tons of third party applications which are priced reasonable.
